Principles of installation assembly

WELDABLE CONNECTIONS / FLARED CONNECTIONS
Weldable connections and flared connections depend on simultaneous heating up of the cable ends (pipes, fittings) to bring to required plasticity level and then to put the end of a pipe to the fitting cup. After the connector is chilled we get homogeneous connection without usage of any additional materials. If the connection is done correctly then surplus of material is visible on the welded circuit.

Marking of the reciprocal pipe and fitting position before welding

Preparation to welding connections

  • set the temperature of the welding machine to 260°C;
  • cut the pipe for required length - taking into consideration the seated part in the fitting cup;
  • Mark required position and the depth of skating the pipe in the fitting.

  1. Elements needed before welding

  2. Elements heating

  3. Ready connection

Ready connection should be left motionlessly until it chills and obtains required stability. Chilling should proceed in natural conditions not using fans, blowers and etc. The time of processing particular operation is various and it depends on the diameter. The table below provides us with the expected time:

TABLE OF REQUIRED TIMES
FOR PARTICULAR OPERATIONS - WELDED CONNECTIONS
Pipe diameter [mm] Heating time [s] Joining time [s] Chilling time [min]
16 5 4 2
20 5 4 2
25 7 4 2
32 8 6 4
40 12 6 4
50 18 6 4
63 24 8 6
75 30 10 8

Transport, storage and assembly

Pipes PP should be stored in horizontal position, on flat ground in order to avoid bending. They should be stored in piles, which should not be higher than 1,2 m
Storage room should protect pipes from direct contact with rays of sunshine. They can be stored in various temperatures, however, in low temperatures (about 0°C and below) polypropylene becomes fragile and should be handled with care.

Installations from polypropylene must be welded in the temperature above 5°C.
